The FBINAA offers the opportunity for FBI Agent personnel, both Active & Retired to join the FBINAA through our Constitution under Article III, Section ii. It reads:
(a) Active and retired Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who have served as counselors and/or Field Office National Academy Coordinators for a National Academy session or who have been directly involved as a regularly appointed full-time administrator of the National Academy Program at Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters.
(b) Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation who have been involved in and have supported the National Academy Program may be nominated for membership by a chapter. The concerned chapter must forward any such nomination along with supporting documentation of support, service and/or involvement to the Association’s National Board for its review and approval of the nominated Special Agent's membership.
Therefore, those Agents whose assignment made them responsible for the NA selection and/or NAA Chapter, may join, with the recommendation & confirmation of a Chapter's endorsement that they are/were a significant contributor of the NA and/or FBINAA. Once an application has been submitted for review, it is sent to the candidates local chapter for endorsement. It is then vetted by the qualifying Section Representative, and then given final approval by the FBINAA National Board.
Jennifer Watson, Director of Membership Services, will be managing and coordinating the applications and also, the vetting process. The process for approval takes approximately four to six weeks. Please feel free to forward to her candidates you would like to support for membership. She may be reached at jwatson@fbinaa.org.
