Alaska Chapter

Chapter Overview

The Alaska Chapter members welcome you to our site. We are pleased and proud to be a part of such an elite organization. We are an active chapter with about 70 active members. That may seem small to those of you in more populated states; however, Alaska is small in numbers, but large in involvement. The entire state has only about 1,300 sworn officer positions so our representation of the National Academy is admirable. We are very fortunate to be able to send two command officers to each session. We hold monthly board of directors’ meetings and two general membership meetings per year. We have been organizing the Executive Development Conference as our retrainer each first week of December for decades. We are committed to the ongoing development of supervisors, commanders, and chiefs of police. We are thankful for the tremendous support we receive from the Anchorage field office of the FBI, as well as from the staff of the National Academy Associates at Quantico.
